Description
Big and bold and full bodied with intense aromas of black bramble berries and black currant with a hint of blue berries, with tobacco & cigar box undertones. Dark blackberry and plum flavours dominate the palate with hints of cacao. A firm yet well integrated tannin structure and lingering finish.

Vineyard
The grapes come from 2 vineyards on the west, south west slopes. Both vineyards at an altitude of 100 - 150m. Both being exposed to the cooling breezes from the Atlantic Ocean, keeping the fruit cool during the warmer days of the ripening period.
Vinification
Sorted with our pellenc sorting table then crushed into 10 ton open top fermenters. Regular pump overs and punch downs. Left on the skins for 14 days. Malolactic fermentation in barrels, racked and returned for 18 months in new, 2nd and 3rd fill barrels.
