RAAR Skin Contact Chenin Blanc Old Vine Certified 2022

This wine is all about texture and complexity, from the extended contact with the Chenin skins prior to fermentation.

Weltevrede Block 11 is an Old Vine Project certified heritage vineyard, planted in 1979 in weathered granite soil.

Hand-harvested whole bunch Chenin Blanc was cold macerated on the skins for 72 hours before pressing. It underwent wild fermentation and partial Malo in barrel and was further barrel aged on the fine lees for 8 months in 500L older French oak barrels.
