Beau Constantia Lucca 2018

The 2018 Lucca is a clever blend of 53% Merlot, 37% Cabernet Franc and, for the first time, Cabernet Sauvignon at 10%. The Cabernet Sauvignon provides a strong framework to dangling Cabernet Franc florae and serves as the perfect vehicle for this individual vintage’s characteristics that allowed for the late budding and -ripening Cabernet Sauvignon to express valued blackcurrant; not often achieved in our climate. Matured for 18 months in 80% new French oak barriques.
