Aslina Wines

Ntsiki Biyela is widely celebrated as an inspiration and role model within the South African wine industry and beyond. She grew up in Mahlabathini, a rural village in KwaZulu-Natal, and matriculated from high school in 1996. She worked as a domestic worker for a year before receiving a scholarship to study winemaking at Stellenbosch University in 1999.

She founded Aslina Wines in 2016, twelve years after beginning her career as a winemaker at Stellekaya; a boutique winery. Aslina Wines is inspired by the strength and determination of the biggest influence in Ntsiki's life, her grandmother.
