Transient Lands Pinotage 2022 2022

This vintage shows has a 'complete' feeling to it - very manageable tannins at an early stage and abundance of dancing, bursting red and black berry aromatics. The conditions of the vintage - deep cold winter, cool spring and warm, dry summer - seem to have produced a loaded, gentle wine with thick concentration, mature structure and a bouncing freshness to keep the music going.

Sourced from cooler, spots of the Western Cape. All of which are a stone's throw from the Atlantic Ocean.

15% wholebunch fermentation, the rest destemmed and punched down once per day. Natural fermentation with nothing but a small sulphur addition at crushing. Pressed when dry to old barriques.

12 months in old barriques. No additions besides sulphur made to the wine. Filtered.
