Cape Point Vineyards Noordhoek Sauvignon Blanc 2022
Description
A refreshing coastal style, combining elements of white grapefruit and a hint of floral fynbos. The ocean seems to dance in your glass, notes of nori and oyster shell as well as a fresh misty sea breeze takes you right onto the beautiful Noordhoek beach. The palate shows elegant layers of fruit with a steely minerality finished off by a fresh and vibrant acidity that creates a long lingering palate length. This wine is showing beautifully right now and will continue to develop for months to come.

Vineyard
The aim of this wine is to capture Noordhoek in a glass. We hand select grapes for this wine from parcels that best display the uniqueness of our Noordhoek terroir. Blocks in the valley that enjoy longer hours of sunlight gives the wine fruity elements.
Vinification
Grapes are picked by hand, cooled down and pressed the following day. We mostly do whole bunch press on blocks with smaller bunches and a small portion of grapes for this wine is destemmed. We settle naturally over 12 - 16 hours and ferment in stainless steel tanks.
Maturation
The Noordhoek is matured on fine fermentation lees for 8 - 12 months in stainless steel tanks with regular mixing. A further maturation in bottle takes place before we release.
